In our efforts to continually enhance the functionality and value of our WAM!NET® Services, we will be performing scheduled maintenance on:

  • Date: Saturday, March 8th, 2008
  • Start Time: 08:00 CST (GMT-06:00)
  • Duration: 6 hours


During this scheduled maintenance period, we will perform general maintenance which will impact several WAM!NET Services.

WAM!NET Info Center(SM) Enhancements

In an effort to continually improve our services and provide our customers with enhancements that make their jobs easier, we are very happy to announce that SAVVIS will be releasing a new WAM!NET Info Center User Management interface in March 2008.

Upon release, Info Center will provide a new link labeled “User Management” that will offer access to an improved set of user management tools. We encourage each of our customers to take advantage of the new interface to experience the more efficient and effective means of managing WAM!NET Users. more...

WAM!NET Content Studio (SM)

We will be performing general maintenance on the Content Studio Service.

Purple Box Network Software Upgrade

As part of the March 8, 2008 Release we will be making minor upgrades to WAM!NET Linux Purple Boxes and the WAM!NET Internet Gateway Server. Changes will no longer force an HTTP 1.0 response to avoid using the chunked Transfer-Encoding.

  • If your application makes Transport API requests using HTTP 1.1 but fails to recognize the chunked Transfer-Encoding or you access the Linux Purple Box through proxies which do not recognize chunked Transfer-Encoding, you may experience problems.
  • Following the release, if you should experience any issues with TDX, applications using the Transport SDK or API, or Internet Gateway Service, please contact SAVVIS Customer Support at your earliest convenience.

Availability of Services during Maintenance?

  • WAM!NET Central Services will be unavailable during the first two hours of this window, including: Internet Gateway(SM), Info Center, WorkSpace(SM), Content Studio, Content Submission Portal(SM) and Medical. Content Studio will be unavailable for an additional two hours.
  • Direct!(SM) and Direct! IP(SM) customers sending to other Direct! sites will be able to send files; however, package tracking and notifications will be unavailable during this time.
