In our efforts to continually enhance the functionality and value of our WAM!NET® Services, we will be performing scheduled maintenance on:

  • Date: Saturday, November 14, 2009
  • Start Time: 08:00 CST (GMT-06:00)
  • Duration: 6 hours


During this scheduled maintenance period, we will perform general maintenance which will impact several WAM!NET Services. Highlighted below are some of the benefits that will be available after this release.

  • NEW Content Studio Web Interface: Provides a brand new look and feel with improved usability along with several new features including download all, related assets and Flash playout of MP3 audio and MPEG-4 video files. It will be available following the release for users of the non-customized Content Studio web interface.
  • NEW Web Launched Submission Icons: Designed for customers who wish to have their users submit content to them by launching Submission Icons through a web browser via a link provided on their website. more »
  • Content Studio Enhancements:
    • New asset life cycle management tools including the ability to auto-expire assets, auto-delete assets and auto-purge assets. more »
    • Expanded eFolio functionality including the list of recipients noted in the sender’s courtesy copy, an additional option to limit eFolio access, extending eFolio expiration to 30 days and increasing the maximum number of files in an eFolio to 500.
    • Improved asset searching with better performance and more intuitive search results.
  • Remember Password Option: Administrators may configure Submission Icons so that a Remember Password feature is available to users on login page.
  • Transmission Director X (TDX) version 3.4: Enhanced support for corporate installation policies.
  • Support for Mac OSX 10.6: The WAM!NET interfaces will be supported on Mac OSX 10.6.
  • Retirement Notices:
    • TDX 2.4.x and 3.1.x versions will provide notice of future expiration at time of user login as a reminder to upgrade to latest version.

Availability of Services during Maintenance?

  • Starting at 8:00am CST, all WAM!NET Direct! Services boxes will be offline for approximately 30 minutes for software maintenance updates. Any packages currently shipping will restart after the upgrade.
  • WAM!NET Central Services will be unavailable during this window, including: Internet Gateway, Info Center, WorkSpace, Content Studio and Content Submission Services.
  • Direct! customers sending to other Direct! sites will be able to send files; however, package tracking and notifications will be unavailable during this time.
