In our efforts to continually enhance the functionality and value of our WAM!NET® Services, we will perform scheduled maintenance on:

  • Date: Saturday, July 16, 2011
  • Start Time: 08:00 CST (GMT-05:00)
  • Duration: 6 hours


  • Infrastructure Maintenance:
      During this scheduled maintenance period we will perform maintenance on our infrastructure to further improve service performance and reliability.

  • WAM!NET Portal customizations can now apply to Content Submission Portal pages:
      Your custom branding of the WAM!NET Portal can now be applied to your Content Submission Portal pages to simplify administration and provide a consistent brand appearance. more »

  • Additional Enhancements:
    • Job ID and/or Client ID can be specified as part of the URL for web launching Submission Icons and override defaults set in the Submission Icon and Submission Resource. If you utilize the URL method to launch Submission Icons, you can take advantage of this new feature.
    • The Download Manager for Library content is now localized in French, German and Japanese in addition to English. The proper language will be displayed based on the language setting in your browser preferences with English displayed for unsupported languages.
    • The eFolio Activity Report has been enhanced to include open eFolio events. The report will show date and time of the event as well as user for authenticated eFolios.

  • Retirement Notice:
    • TDX versions 3.4.x and 3.5.x will provide notice of future expiration at time of user login as a reminder to upgrade to the latest version. The actual retirement of these versions is planned to occur in November 2011.

Availability of Services during Maintenance

  • Within the 6 hour maintenance period, all Direct! and Direct!IP file transfer appliances (Purple Boxes) will be offline for up to two (2) hours for software maintenance updates. Any packages currently shipping will restart after the upgrade.
  • All WAM!NET Central Services will be unavailable during this window, including: both the US and UK instances of the WAM!NET Portal, Internet Gateway, Info Center, Content Studio and Content Submission Services.
  • File transfer appliances will be able to send files to other file transfer appliances, however package tracking and notifications will be unavailable during this time.
