Scheduled Maintenance

In our efforts to continually enhance the functionality and value of our WAM!NET® Services, we will perform scheduled maintenance on:

  • Date: Saturday, November 12, 2011
  • Start Time: 08:00 CST (GMT-06:00)
  • Duration: 6 hours


  • Infrastructure Maintenance:
      During this scheduled maintenance period we will perform maintenance on our infrastructure to further improve service performance and reliability.

  • Corporate Contacts in WAM!NET Portal:
      Expanding on the personal contacts functionality in WAM!NET Portal, Administrators will now have the ability to import corporate contacts information via the Administration tab. The Corporate Contacts List page will support sorting, paging and filtering similar to the Personal Contacts page. Any subsequent import will update existing Corporate Contacts based on email address and add any new contacts that don’t already exist. Existing corporate contacts in the WAM!NET Portal will be removed if they are not included in a subsequent import.

      All users will have access to the list of corporate contacts along with their own personal contacts when using the quick match feature to address eFolios. The quick match feature will also become usable with some email fields for eFolio submissions on the Transfer Files tab in the WAM!NET Portal and on the Content Submission Portal.

  • Additional Enhancements:
    • There will be a new version of Transmission Scriptable Client (TSC), version 2.3 to support two new options to control the content collection directory structure; store in subfolder and collapse directory path. The store in subfolder option will store files in a subfolder named with sending user. The collapse directory path option will not retain the files original directory path when collected.

  • Retirement Notices:
    • TDX version 3.4 and 3.5 will be retired on November 12 and will no longer be functional.
    • Legacy WAM!NET web interfaces; Info Center, Internet Gateway, Content Studio and Service Portal and will be retired on January 9, 2012. more »

Availability of Services during Maintenance

  • Within the 6 hour maintenance period, all Direct! and Direct!IP file transfer appliances will be offline for up to thirty (30) minutes for software maintenance updates. Any packages currently shipping will restart after the upgrade.
  • All WAM!NET Central Services will be unavailable during this window, including: both the US and UK instances of the WAM!NET Portal, Internet Gateway, Info Center, Content Studio and Content Submission Services.
  • File transfer appliances will be able to send files to other file transfer appliances, however package tracking and notifications will be unavailable during this time.
