In our efforts to continually enhance the functionality and value of our WAM!NET® Services, we will perform scheduled maintenance on:

  • Date: Saturday, October 13, 2012
  • Start Time: 08:00 CDT (GMT-05:00)
  • Duration: 6 hours

Purpose

  • Introducing enterprise file sharing with WAM!NET
      You will be able to use WAM!NET for general enterprise file sharing in addition to content management and file transfer for your critical production processes. The new file sharing capability will be provided through enhanced eFolio file sharing functionality providing more visibility, management and reporting. more »

  • Easy access to your Submission Portals and Icons via Portal
      You will be able to access your Submission Portals and Icons directly from Portal. For those that have created Submission resources and icons, the Transfer Files tab will include two new links; Submit via Web and Submit via Icon, directing you to your submission resources.

  • Additional Enhancements
    • Notification Changes:
      • Package Tracking notifications will now link to Portal for detailed information
      • New configuration setting on the Submission Resource page called “Enable Delivery Notification for Submitter”. This configuration determines whether the Delivery Notification option is made available to the sender for all Submission Icons created under this Submission Resource.
      Browser and Operating System Support Matrix:
      • Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.6 have been removed from our Support Matrix. If you happen to experience any issues with these OS versions while operating WAM!NET Services, our Technical Support staff will instruct you to upgrade to a later OS version.
      • Mac OX S X 10.8 has been added to our Support Matrix.

  • Retirement Notices:
    • Savvis will expire all legacy versions of Transmission Scriptable Client (TSC). All versions with the exception of TSC 2.3 will no longer be accessible following this release.

Availability of Services during Maintenance

  • Within the 6 hour maintenance period, all Direct! and Direct!IP file transfer appliances will be offline for up to thirty (30) minutes for software maintenance updates. Any packages currently shipping will restart after the upgrade.
  • All WAM!NET Central Services will be unavailable during this window.
  • File transfer appliances will be able to send files to other file transfer appliances, however package tracking and notifications will be unavailable during this time.
